Driving Directions

From North or Central Jersey Via NJ Turnpike:

  • Take NJ Turnpike south to Exit 2 (Swedesboro, Chester, PA, US Route 322 Exit).
  • After tollbooth, bear right onto US Route 322 East. It is marked for Glassboro, Atlantic City, and Bridgeton.
  • Travel about 3 miles to the traffic light in Mullica Hill and make a right. Stay straight and follow signs for Route 77 South and Bridgeton. 
  • You will travel about 19 miles on Route 77 before you enter Bridgeton. You will be in Bridgeton when Route 77 becomes four lanes at a major intersection and traffic light. There is a shopping center on right and a State Police headquarters on left.
  • Continue down Route 77 (also known as Pearl Street).
  • At the fourth traffic light (after major intersection) make a right onto East Commerce Street. The Rutgers Food Innovation Center is at #87 East Commerce Street, halfway down the first block on the right hand side.

From Route 55:

  • Take exit 32B for RT-56 W toward Rosenhayn
  • Keep right at the fork to continue toward Landis Ave/RT-56 and merge onto Landis Ave/RT-56 for about 8 miles
  • Slight left at RT-77 and drive about 2.5 miles

  • Make a right onto East Commerce Street.  The Food Innovation Center is at #87 East Commerce Street, halfway down the first block on the right hand side.

From Route 49:

Coming east of Bridgeton:

  • Take Route 49 West into Bridgeton. 
  • Make a right onto Route 77 North. 
  • At first traffic light make a left onto East Commerce Street.  The Food Innovation Center is at #87 East Commerce Street, halfway down the first block on the right hand side.

Coming west of Bridgeton:

  • Take Route 49 East into Bridgeton. 
  • Make a left onto Route 77 North. 
  • At the first traffic light make a left onto East Commerce Street.  The Food Innovation Center is at #87 East Commerce Street, halfway down the first block on the right hand side.

From Center City Philadelphia, PA:

  • Take I-676 East to the Ben Franklin Bridge into New Jersey. After bridge, stay straight to go onto I-676 South. 
  • Stay straight to go onto NJ-42 South.
  • Take NJ-55 South towards Deptford/Glassboro/Vineland to the Rosenhayn Exit (about 27 miles).
  • Take exit 32B for RT-56 W toward Rosenhayn
  • Keep right at the fork to continue toward Landis Ave/RT-56 and merge onto Landis Ave/RT-56 for about 8 miles
  • Slight left at RT-77 and drive about 2.5 miles

  • Make a right onto East Commerce Street.  The Food Innovation Center is at #87 East Commerce Street, halfway down the first block on the right hand side.
